New Start

Back in town after 3 weeks away - how do 3 weeks go so quickly? two of intensive training and a hotel with cable tv and sudoku, then a week on the Island with my husband. Useful and interesting though it was, I'm glad to be home. We feel ourselves settling into life and getting a rhythm and momentum going. It's exciting, and I'm glad to be here doing these things. A cold has slowed me down, but I'm eager to get back out into the garden, tackle the morning glory that's trying to take over parts of the garden, clean out the tomatoes, plan life together with M. Sister is in town, and friend comes to stay tomorrow - our first overnight guest - and being here for them with this busyness is rewarding. And after the dislocation of the intense heat, this cooler weather feels like fall. And fall feels, not like an end, but like the beginning as we sink deeper into our family rhythms and life in the community.
